Hosted by Intrinsic SEA, the ASEAN Technology Cooperation and Development Summit 2025 is a flagship forum co-hosted alongside WE2025: Future in Motion, with a focused lens on ASEAN innovation, investment, and cross-border cooperation. It will be held from 25–26 November 2025 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.

As a co-leading platform within WE2025’s "Future Tech & AI" pillar, the summit aims to advance cross-border technology cooperation while supporting the broader WE2025 mission to drive inclusive innovation, sustainable development, and regional economic leadership.

The two-day event is set to convene over 100 companies, more than 50 global investors, and 2,000 innovators and ecosystem leaders from ASEAN, China, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and Japan. Showcasing the region’s most promising advancements, the summit will feature an interactive technology exhibition with over 100 booths highlighting cutting-edge innovations across key sectors. This strong international participation reinforces Malaysia’s emergence as a regional innovation hub, while offering Malaysian entrepreneurs and innovation-driven enterprises with global potential valuable opportunities to engage with global investors and expand market access.

With over 50,000 expected livestream viewers, the summit will further position Malaysia as a key enabler of ASEAN-wide collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.

YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, stated:

“This summit reflects Malaysia’s ambition to lead regional innovation, strategic partnerships, emerging technologies, and inclusive growth. It supports MOSTI’s mission to transition Malaysia from a technology user into a global technology developer by 2030, while reinforcing our ASEAN Chairmanship priorities.”

He also highlighted the need for gender-inclusive innovation ecosystems:

“MOSTI recognises that advancing women’s participation in STEM is both an equity and economic imperative. Platforms like WE2025 and this summit play a vital role in closing the gender gap by: (i) increasing STEM exposure for young women and girls, (ii) fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and (iii) broadening access to capital, networks and leadership pathways for women innovators and entrepreneurs.”

Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia and Organising Chair of WE2025, commented:

“WE2025 champions inclusive economic growth by empowering women in trade, investment, and leadership. While this summit welcomes all participants, it upholds that spirit by ensuring women have meaningful opportunities to lead in tech innovation — a sector where inclusive participation is urgently needed.”

Ravenna Chen, CEO of Intrinsic SEA, added:

“This summit is not just about building connections — it is about delivering outcomes. By aligning regional strengths in technology and industry, we aim to catalyse real collaboration: accelerating project implementation, integrating technology into key value chains, and fostering a globally competitive ecosystem that empowers ASEAN’s next wave of growth and innovation.

“This summit is a strategic commitment — a cross-border initiative anchored in science and innovation, aligned with Malaysia’s fifth ASEAN Chairmanship, the 10th anniversary of the ASEAN Community, and the shared aspirations of ASEAN Vision 2045.

We aim to collaborate across sectors to shape an ASEAN ecosystem that is globally connected and socially impactful, supporting Malaysia’s innovation agenda and accelerating ASEAN’s digital transformation for the benefit of all.”
