From Sky to Store: DJI’s First Two-Storey Experience Centre Lands at Low Yat Park KL

DJI Malaysia Takes Flight with Two-Storey Experience Store at Low Yat Park

A new hub for hands-on demos, expert workshops, and the full DJI ecosystem

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 July 2025 – In a defining moment for Malaysia’s consumer tech and creator ecosystem, DJI Malaysia has officially launched its first-ever two-storey DJI Experience Store at Low Yat Park, Kuala Lumpur. This exciting milestone is not just a celebration of retail innovation, but a symbol of DJI’s deepening presence and commitment to the Malaysian market.

From Global Drone Pioneer to Malaysian Tech Staple

Founded in 2006, DJI (Dà-Jiāng Innovations) began as a small tech startup in Shenzhen, China, building flight controllers for model helicopters. Fast-forward nearly two decades, DJI has become a household name across the world – known for revolutionizing aerial photography, professional filmmaking, industrial inspections, and more.

Malaysia was one of the earliest Southeast Asian markets to embrace DJI products. Back in the early 2010s, hobbyist drone pilots and videographers had to import DJI drones through resellers or overseas trips. But demand quickly grew. By the mid-2010s, DJI had established a stronger local presence through partnerships with authorised distributors and regional retailers. Popular models like the Phantom 3, Mavic Pro, and Osmo Mobile were game-changers for local creatives, event videographers, and even real estate agents who used drones to produce stunning aerial visuals.

In 2019, DJI officially set up DJI Malaysia, offering localised support, warranty services, and training for professionals and government agencies. Since then, the brand has been increasingly visible at tech expos, content creation events, and commercial showcases. Now, with the opening of its flagship two-storey Experience Store, DJI is taking the next bold step in empowering Malaysians with world-class gear and expertise.

Inside the DJI Experience Store at Low Yat Park

Spanning two expansive floors, this Experience Store redefines how Malaysians can engage with drone and imaging technology. The ground floor is designed as a high-touch retail zone – where visitors can test-fly the DJI Mini 4 Pro, explore FPV flight with the Avata 2, or try out the latest Osmo Pocket 3 and Action 4 cameras.

Upstairs, the space transforms into a pro zone for serious creatives and professionals. Here, advanced rigs like the DJI Inspire 3, Matrice series, and Ronin stabilizers are on full display, complete with test areas and consultation bays. Whether you’re a filmmaker, engineer, or first responder, the upper level is designed to showcase how DJI’s tools can elevate your work.

More Than a Store: A Hub for Learning and Creativity

What truly sets the Experience Store apart is its commitment to community education. Starting September 2025, DJI Malaysia will roll out a robust calendar of hands-on workshops. From beginner drone flying classes to advanced aerial cinematography and post-production workflows, these sessions aim to nurture the next wave of Malaysian content creators and professionals.

“Our vision goes beyond just retail,” shared Eason Guo, Deputy Chief Executive of DJI. “We’re building a space for connection, learning, and inspiration. This two-storey layout allows us to offer proper hands-on experiences you can’t get online, plus the expert guidance to help customers master their new gear.”

Opening Offers and Exclusive Services

To celebrate its grand launch, the store is offering exclusive in-store bundles and promotions for a limited time. In another first for DJI’s Malaysian operations, customers can now access on-site technical support, firmware updates, and equipment servicing directly at the Experience Store – removing the hassle of shipping devices overseas for repairs.

Your Gateway to the DJI Ecosystem

The DJI Experience Store at Low Yat Park is now open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Whether you’re a drone enthusiast, filmmaker, engineer, or tech hobbyist, the store offers something for everyone – from product demos and educational programs to professional-grade gear and community events.
